This board oversees the operation of St. Mary’s cemetery. It is made up of one parishioner and a priest from each of the eight parishes in the Muskegon deanery. Each parish also has one alternate. It is like running a small business, you need good business sense. There is a quarterly board meeting.
There are three committees on the cemetery board
- Executive – Payment approvals – meets monthly
- Finance – Perpetual care fund – meets as needed
- Grounds and Maintenance – meets as needed
The pastor is responsible for making appointments to this committee. If you are interested in serving on this board talk to the pastor.
