Sacred Heart

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a program which serves to guide people in their faith journey into the Catholic Church.  RCIA is offered once a year between September and Easter with a series of classes meeting regularly.

RCIA or RCIC Sponsor
Sponsors are paired with an individual who desires to join the Catholic Church.  The primary role of a sponsor is to support an individual and be a link for that individual to the parish.  Sponsors also help candidates find answers to questions they may have.  Sponsors do not have to know the answers to the candidates’ questions but need to know who to ask or where to find the answer.  You must be baptized, confirmed and a fully practicing Catholic who has the desire to share the gift of faith with others.

Catechist – Religious Formation Teacher
Catechists work with a small group of children grades 1 -8.  Religious formation for our youth is Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:30 p.m. mid September through mid May.  Children’s Choir rehearses from 7:00-7:30 p.m.

Prayer Healing Ministry
The Prayer Healing Ministry has been recognized and commissioned by the Catholic Church at Sacred Heart to proclaim the good news and to pray for the sick to be healed. The prayer ministry team prays with those that want to be prayed with for the healing of a spiritual, physical, or emotional need after Saturday and Sunday Masses in the Chapel area.
